poo-ped in espoo

i'm so freakin tired. these long days and short nights are starting to grate the nerves at a successful pace. but i can't sleep tonight because i have to sleep on the plane. *whimper*

but today was fun. took the bus to helsinki and went to the arabia factory first. i bought stuff. yay me and my 5 euros left! after that we ate lunch and filled out program evaluations. if anyone wants to go to finland next summer, they should totally talk to me. it really is fun!!!

embassy! so i technically went to the USA today. party. that was actually the most fun part of the helsinki program. all the people that talked to us there acknowledged the fact that we were teenagers and goofed off and told jokes. pretty funny. i definitely might join the foreign services straight out of college. if i stay long enough and work through the heirarcy, i could be ambassador one day! that would be hilarious. OK, so then the ambassador himself came. He spoke for a while and i made my little speech. the photographer said there would be pictures on the web site, so if anyone wants to see, they can check out the USA embassy in Finland website. I honestly don't know what it is. now i'm back here and contemplating about packing. nah. but i bought gifts for people:

i think there were some other people...but i don't remember! gasp!

does anyone thing it's weird that i'm taking european history first on monday? talk about overkill. "what did you do this summmer?" "Oh, i spent 7 weeks in finland. not much". wow. funny.

does anyone remember who invented the dc current. i told mike it was tessla and he didn't believe me. talk about a "howie" moment right there. freshman year was...interesting.
